This collection of exercises is specifically designed to enhance sight-reading skills through targeted challenges. Users are encouraged to play the correct notes and attempt to surpass their previous high scores.

Note Hitter integrates flash cards that facilitate note recognition, alongside gaming elements that assess and develop the ability to sight-read directly from musical scores.

Each challenge focuses on notes derived from a particular scale or arpeggio. Participants can utilize their own instrument to match the displayed notes. When the correct pitch is played, the note visually confirms with a pop-up indicator. As proficiency increases, the difficulty escalates with faster tempos and more complex note sequences, including those with additional sharps or flats. This process promotes substantial learning while maintaining an engaging experience.

Starting with gentle challenges, Note Hitter gradually expands to cover three octaves at speeds up to 180 bpm, incorporating six different exercise types across all tonal centers. This progression ensures continued engagement even for advanced musicians. Achieved features can be selectively maintained or advanced to subsequent levels, or temporarily dismissed for focused practice on specific configurations. Note Hitter Lite offers access to the initial level for introductory use.

Can you accurately identify every note, even in the most complex keys?

The program supports multiple users and allows each user to operate multiple instruments simultaneously. Additionally, there is a feature to transpose written notes, although this is not available in Note Hitter Lite.

Supported instruments include Voice (Note Hitter Voice may be preferable for vocalists), Piano, Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Saxophone, Bassoon, Recorder, Trumpet, Cornet, Trombone, and Horn.
